Stunningly Beautiful and Well Done
We were completely touched and emotionally wrung out by the end of the show. The actors, especially the young woman who plays the lead character Celie, were more than excellent. When we left the theater, we both said this show rates among the top 5 among the more than 100 shows we have seen on Broadway and here in Atlanta. My wife and I had seen The Crane Wives on Broadway several years ago and were not expecting this touring performance to measure up to that high standard. And we both agreed that we found this show to be even better than the one we say in New York. In short, we were blown away--again--by this incredibly gripping story and also by this group's presentation. I would strongly urge everyone to find a way to see this show. And we cried our eyes out with the uplifting and emotional conclusion to the show. We laughed at the humorous lines and songs throughout the show. You will be glad you did.
